Custom Kitchen Remodel in Plano, TX

The homeowners of this traditional residence wanted to remodel and create an open space concept between their kitchen and family room and also create a wine bar area. The family desired more room for entertaining, storage, and a place for gathering with family and friends. Their decision to make the large custom fourteen foot island and table combination as the main focal point of the kitchen was a great feature.

The existing kitchen was separated from the family room by a pass through wall and also a side wall by the existing bar area. To accomplish the homeowners’ vision, we removed a load-bearing wall and installed a support beamThis involved new stained hand-scraped flooring and lacing in new flooring where the walls were removed to flow with the rest of the hardwood, handscraped flooring.

Their current pantry space was extremely limited. In order to have a larger pantry, we removed their existing smaller pantry, which involved re locating the plumbing in the walls in order to open that portion of the kitchen to create additional space.  The family wanted to keep some of their existing cabinets, but needed more cabinet space to accommodate their needs. We matched their cabinet style and built new custom cabinets for the rest of the design space.

NEW CUSTOM STYLE CABINETS, PAINT & HARDWARE

The family wanted to keep some of their existing cabinets, as they were still in good condition, but needed more cabinet space to accommodate their large family. We matched their existing cabinet style and built new custom cabinets to accommodate the additional storage need with the larger floor plan. All new and existing cabinets were painted with new white with SW 7004 Snowbound paint in a satin finish. The new custom built island and table top base was painted with SW 7674 Peppercorn in a satin finish.   The cabinet hardware was purchased by the homeowner in a sleek contemporary brushed nickel finish.

ALL NEW KITCHEN QUARTZ COUNTER TOPS

For this design, the homeowner choose two different quartz slabs. One for the large 14 ft. custom island and table top and another for the counter tops.  The quartz slab chosen for their island and table top was a beautiful Carrara Marmi Quartz from MSI Stone. For the counter tops, the homeowners chose a stunning slab of quartz, called Graphite from Vicostone.

NEW BACK SPLASH

The homeowner choose a traditional and timeless white 3x 6 Beveled Cotton Gloss tile from Arizona TileThis tile created a streamline, but traditional upgraded feel.  The subway tile went perfectly with the Carrara Marmi quartz island and table top along with the graphite quartz island and counter tops.
